Eric & Sarah Fasciani

Owners

CrossFit Pepperell is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Eric and Sarah Fasciani, who also own CrossFit Nashua and CrossFit Souhegan. Before Eric opened our doors he had a small personal training company that operated out of multiple gyms in southern New Hampshire. His goal was to start a personal training studio, but as soon as he took the CrossFit Level 1 Certification, he knew his focus had to shift. The CrossFit training methods and certification process was like nothing he had seen. It aligned perfectly with his belief that fitness and health go hand in hand, and the goal of fitness training should be to add quality years to people’s lives. When he started implementing CrossFit workouts with his clients, the results spoke for themselves. The goal of opening a personal training studio quickly switched to opening a CrossFit gym. Eric and Sarah began construction on their first location with hopes of reaching 20 members within the first year. A year later they were bursting at the seams with 100 members and moving to the state of the art 8,500sf facility they are in now. Then in 2015 they opened CrossFit Souhegan and in 2022 they acquired CrossFit Pepperell. From the start, the mission was to create a fun workout environment that helps people improve their lives through fitness. No matter who you are, your background, your age, or your fitness level, if you are willing to put in the work, CrossFit Pepperell wants to help you get there.

Eric Fasciani coach at CrossFit Pepperell

Eric Fasciani

Coach

Eric started his fitness career as a personal trainer in 2006. He quickly found a passion for fitness that was focused on building healthy, capable bodies. This clashed with the bodybuilding/physique focused approach that was prevalent at many gyms. When he attended the CrossFit Level 1 Certification Course, he realized he had come across something special and instantly knew he wanted to open a CrossFit location. CrossFit had the biggest influence on Eric and his approach to fitness. “I love that the focus is on health, wellness, and performance rather than looks. You can have someone that looks ripped with abs and biceps who is not fit or healthy. When you train CrossFit, you get people who are healthy and capable of amazing things. The side effect is that you also look great.” Eric is driven by a belief that fitness carries over to all aspects of life. Perseverance, integrity, dedication, sacrifice, self-control, honesty, and commitment are all best and easiest learned through fitness. Sarah Fasciani coach at CrossFit Pepperell

Sarah Fasciani

Coach

Sarah’s fitness career started in 2010 when she first tried CrossFit. She never really enjoyed working out in a typical gym, but she knew from day one of CrossFit that it would become a major part of her life. Within seven months of trying CrossFit, she became certified and started coaching at CrossFit Nashua. Since then, Sarah has obtained additional certifications in Crossfit, MovNat, and USAW. Sarah is also certified in CrossFit Kids, which she used to help show children and teens that fitness is a fun tool for a healthy life. Sarah believes that everyone should always be “moving” from the very young to the elderly. That’s what drew her to CrossFit so much – the ability to scale for every walk of life. Sarah works well with all types of people from competitive athletes to those who have never set foot in a gym. Brian McSweeney coach at CrossFit Pepperell

Brian McSweeney

General Manager/Coach

Brian started his fitness journey early in life, playing competitive soccer, track, and lacrosse through high school. In his 20’s he went to a globo gym spending a lot of time on the treadmill and doing circuit training, but was never able to stick to a program. Shortly after his 30th birthday, he realized that he was very unhealthy and something needed to change. So he started his fitness journey with running and doing at home fitness.

While working as a paramedic Brian realized that strength was going to play a big role in his career, and didn’t want to injury himself and not be able to work. He had a partner on the ambulance who did CrossFit and she brought him to try a CrossFit class. Half way through that class Brian was hooked and knew that this was going to change his life. He’s never turned back, and has been CrossFitting for 7 years now.

Brian got his start in coaching volunteering for an organization called the Phoenix. This organization uses fitness to help those with substance abuse issues, or supporters of those in recovery. If you want more information on this organization you can visit https://thephoenix.org. He joined the coaching staff at CrossFit Pepperell in the summer of 2021, and became a full time coach/manager in the May of 2022. When he’s not doing CrossFit, he enjoys spending time outside, hiking, biking, and spending time with his dog, Rigatoni, and his wife, Meghan.

Scott Fournier coach at CrossFit Pepperell

Scott Fournier

Coach

As a former martial artist and college baseball player, I’ve always enjoyed working out. After graduating college, I let my health and fitness slip away. I missed the competitiveness and the workouts training for baseball. Then I discovered CrossFit in 2017. I instantly fell in love with it. I loved the camaraderie, the coaches, and the constantly varied workouts. In 2018, I decided to attend a Level 1 training seminar and became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Before CrossFit, I was 230 lbs, the heaviest I have ever been. I was stressed and felt bad about the way I looked. I was not working out consistently and I ate anything and everything. Joining this community has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I look forward to going to the gym now and working out with all my gym buddies. After working out consistently and eating healthier foods, I am now just under 200 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. For those of you who are thinking about coming in and checking us out, please do! The hardest part is stepping through the door the first time, we understand that. But once you walk through that door, know that you will have a supportive community that will help you and cheer for you the entire way. I look forward to working with you! Certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Certified CPR / AED Certified

James Tatem coach at CrossFit Pepperell

James Tatem

Coach

After school and a few seasons of football in the NEFL, Tatem found himself at his heaviest weight of 360lbs and needed a change. In 2017 after years of going to the commercial gym scene and making no progress, Tatem discovered CrossFit. This high intensity training with a focus on health, diet, and new exciting movements were the pieces he had been missing. The community and fun pace of the class setting brought him back to his days in team sports and sparked his motivation. A nutrition challenge in 2018 was the catalyst for a 140lb weight loss and interest to coach others to find their best selves, a self they never thought they could achieve Tatem now knows that the “impossible” and the “never gonna happen” attitude is a fallacy that can be corrected with community, exposure to new and challenging things, and burpees! Charles Bridges coach at CrossFit Pepperell

Charles Bridges

Coach

Charles has 32 years of experience in the fitness industry. He holds certifications from the Brookebush institute, in Human movement specialist and Certified Personal trainer, USAW Level 1 coach, Certified Sports performance coach.

His passion for fitness and helping people was ignited at the age of 18 when a former power lifter took him under his wing after Charles dropped 135 # the first time he attempted to bench press. Charles excelled in Football, basketball , and power lifting.

Charles believes that what’s missing in today’s image-obsessed fitness climate is an emphasis on the simple joys of movement. To this end, his methods seek to improve key fitness indicators like strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance while also reacquainting clients with natural skills and patterns of movement that tend to deteriorate as a result of the modern world’s demands.
